"Lovely" Call Duck

A part of my "Avian Iconography" series reflecting the vulnerability of our local birds, even domesticated birds, in the face of the new strain of Avian Influenza that has caused such devastation globally and has just reached our shores

This piece is of a Call Duck named "Lovely".  It is said that once the H1N5 virus gets into our fresh water fowl that will be the truest sign of it really taking a hold.
